Dear Sponsors and Friends,

I am Nguyen The Vinh. I would like to say a few words about my brief biography introduction.

At the age of 4, my father passed away because of the war bombs and then my mother was so grieved that she followed him forever when I was 7. A year later, when looking after the oxen of the collective, I fell off and broke my right arm, which had to be cut off because it got gangrene due to a fail treatment.

After several years trying my best in both working and studying hard, I graduated and earned a BA degree at HCMC University of Economics. I am now performing playing the guitar and doing teaching for a high school, specializing in training for university admission exams in Ben Cat District, Binh Duong Province.

Because of spending my childhood with spiritual and material hardship, I desire to share my experiences and my skills, therefore, together with kind-hearted people to support orphan and disabled children like I was. This helps offer them opportunities and good conditions so that they can go to universities, have better education and become confident to integrate into the society.

At present, the Huong Duong Patronage Centre for Orphan and Disabled Children has been in its existence and developing for 4 years since its foundation. Thanks to the hard-working   and effort of the teacher and his students, there are now more than 40 tertiary students to be supported while they are continuing their further studies in universities/colleges in Sai Gon; and there are about 50 orphan and disabled students of high schools to live and study at the Centre.

About the finance, Huong Duong Centre has received many caring supports and donations of spirits and in-kinds from a number of charity organizations, individuals and friends. They have helped Huong Duong Centre with valuable resources and financial aids so that the Centre has a firm basement for a long journal of growing “human being”. For that mission, HDC really needs more contributions of all kinds in order to make sure of a stable development as well as a succeed for a better and brighter future for the young generations.

I wish you to make a commitment to support HDC by any kinds of donations. Your generosity will make a different in the disadvantaged children, which allow them to chase their dream as far as the sunflower petals heading towards the sun.
